Enjoy the weekend, mates!

I leave you with this:

-

“I’m never gonna get married. Are you?”
“Hmm…I suppose if the right person came along, I might. Someone with green eyes and a nice laugh, who I could call ‘Pooty Pie’.”
“POOTY PIE?”
“Or bitsy pookums.”
“I think that would affect my stomach a lot more than my heart.”
“Bitsy pookums I’d say. Yes snoogy woogy, she’d reply…”

Bill Watterson, Calvin and Hobbes

01. I’m 25, I haven’t worked out properly for two years now and I still think I can go to the Olympics.

02. My rhetoric for improving the quality of the process (in whatever) sounds like ranting to other people.

03. I intend to start coding (software) as a hobby when I become a professional football player and have some some free time.

04. Generous when it comes to high value stuff, I tend to act mean about minor stuff like my cup, my pen and my Rubik’s cube.

05. I find Barrack and Michelle a sexier couple than Fatima Bhutto and George Clooney.

06. Pressing the snooze button thrice before leaving the bed is a trademark.

07. This monitor is giving me a headache.

08. The best thing about typing kicks is they fly like a bicycle and land like a fish.

09. I plan to marry as soon as the world comes to an end.

10. Science is beautiful.

11. You think I am, therefore you are.

12. Drinking is good for health.

13. Just crushed to death, the 3rd mosquito that inserted its proboscis into my arm and had prolly started sucking my precious blood.

14. I’m unique, just like everyone.

15. I want Anna (Ivanovic (k)) and Maria Kirilenko in doubles again.. plleeeeeeeeease…

16. God is real, unless declared integer.

17. There has to be fast forward or a rewind button in life to get you through now.

18. I’ld love to add to the gene pool except that I’m afraid my species might take over the world.

19. Five days shalt thou labour, as the Bible says. The seventh day is the Lord thy God’s. The sixth day is for football. No exceptions!

20. correction: Drinking is great for health, as long as it keeps you sane.

21. Last night the creative juices were flowing and (not but,) today I am merely a vast wasteland of random thoughts.

22. If I were born 5000 years ago, you’ld not be reading this.

23. My other ‘25 Things About Me’ note is more humorous, but you only get to read one per year.. poor you.

24. “Dress sense” is a phrase you use to make me look stupid.

25. Those are my principles, and if you don’t like them…well, make an exception..

Feels like eons since I wrote last. So here you go, buds.. A piece of my mind…

Lessons from sports

If you keep at it for a long enough time, you’re guaranteed to end up with a few stories to tell.

The only way to develop and sustain a burning desire to reach and stay at the top is to make sure  you train with people better than you.

Don’t be afraid of the competition. Be afraid of your own complacency.

Self management is extremely important.

Its better to spend more time training and acquiring the skills required to win than participating in every competition. Know when to say, ‘No’.

Have a plan. Execute it!

Becoming the best will require beating the best. So better train like the best. Just beleive that you have what it takes to beat them.

The only way to ensure victory is to play better than your opponent till the last second.

Perhaps most importantly, know your weakpoints and play accordingly.

I trained. I played. I won.

I’ll train, play and win.
